Why is it different now than years ago with kids and ?

respect. i am not an idiot, but i remember respecting my things. i remember loving to have a nice clean house etc.. i have had my 4 kids for 3 years. and they dont respect anything. they have damaged most of our things, they dont care for their things. if i let it go i could not imagine what it would be like. from day one i tought them to take care of things, 3 years is long enough i think. i am loosing control and angry all our things are damaged or a mess, i cant keep up. they are 4,6.9,10. arent the 9 and 10 year old at least old enough to know better or am i dreaming.
