Is my camera broken?

I recently borrowed my friends Casio-Exilim camera and i dropped it last night... It was fine, no scuff marks.. and it worked afterwards. Then all of a sudden, it wouldnt turn on. I thought it may be dead, but the lens is out. Could it be broken, or do you think its dead? I thought that if it was dead, the lens would go back inside. Any tips?
