His parents are unreasonable?

My best friend Omar is hecka into music and the arts. He is sort of a rebel, but is really family oriented and respectful to women. His parents found a song that he had on his ipod that was really bad disgracing girls, but it was from his younger days when he didn't respect girls or himself. He and his sister have been arguing lately, but they look at it as brother and sister bickering that kind of naturally happens. His parents have found the littlest things to pick at until he just bursts and they get him in trouble for it. They took away his: ipod and deleted all his music, books, computer, laptop, cell phone, musical instruments, magazines, and friend rights. All because of a song, and little things he did. He has always been insecure with friendships and I need to be there for him, I am allowed to text him during the day and he's only allowed to hang out with me if I can come to his house. It's just not fair. I am his only true friend, we have known each other for a long time and all other girls leave him. What can I do to comfort him and make it clear that I will always be there without just telling him?
