Feelings on the Velvet Underground?

I've just started listening to them recently, even though I was aware of them, they never sparked my interests before, but now I'm sort of falling in love with them. My absolute favorite things about the velvets is the unpretentiousness, it doesn't seem like they are trying to put on some air of greatness. Anyway how do you feel, amazing band, indifferent, or do you have an intense hatred??????????
